ARCFISH coordinator, Torill Hamre (NERSC) and communications partner, Ruth Higgins (EurOcean) were delighted to participate in the recent Kick-Off Meeting of funded projects (2023 joint call) from 25-26 September, organised by the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership and hosted by the Spanish Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI).
The meeting brought together representatives of the 19 projects funded during the first SBEP call, as well as members of the Funding Agencies participating in the 2023 call, members of the SBEP Experts Group, representatives from the European Commission and other special invited speakers.
It was a great opportunity to meet the other projects and to gain a deeper appreciation for the SBEP programme as a whole.
ARCFISH was especially interested to meet our "twin" digital twin project DTO-Track, represented by its coordinator Ross McGill (Loughs Agency), as well as another project using the Blue Insight DTO technology, CliN-BluFeed represented by its coordinator, Lionel Camus (Akvaplan-niva).
We look forward to seeing what future synergies we can have with these and other members of the growing SBEP community.
ARCFISH was particularly happy to meet Ms. Marianne Areng from the Research Council of Norway, one of the funders of ARCFISH. We look forward to meeting more of our funders and the wider community at future SBEP events.
